Biography

Teaching Experience

In 1998, Mr. Roth began teaching private guitar lessons through the community school at McHenry County College. In 2000, he began teaching lessons for class credit to undergraduates as an adjunct faculty member of the college.

While pursuing his Master's Degree at Northern Illinois University, he taught music theory and aural akills to the freshman and sophmore classes. As a graduate assistant, his activities included classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and leading review sessions.

Education

Mr. Roth holds two graduate degrees in classical guitar performance. He earned his Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University in 2002, and recieved a Performer's Certificate the following year.

At NIU, Adam studied with the world renowned guitarist Fareed Haque. In addition, he has performed in master classes with Manuel Barruecco and Elena Papandreau, and has studied with Dennis Azabagic, Douglas Niedt, and Dennis Koster.

Adam is a certified student teacher of Feldenkrais group lessons, which are used by performing artists worldwide to improve coordination, reduce tension, and refine motor skills.
