Performance Bio

Adam Roth began playing guitar at age 12, keen on emulating his rock heroes. Upon the encouragement of his teachers, he began studying classical guitar, and was soon performing in holiday recitals, church services, and accompanying his high school choir.

In December of 2002, Mr. Roth received a Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University, where he studied with Fareed Haque. The following year he received a Performer's Certificate from NIU.

Mr. Roth has performed in master classes for eminent guitarists such as Manuel Barrueco and Elena Papandreou. Additionally, he has studied privately with Denis Azabagic and Douglas Niedt.

Recently, his performances have included solo recitals, weddings, worship services and corporate events.

His specialities include J.S. Bach, American folk tunes, and accompanying soprano vocalists. His performances are known for an interesting diversity of musical styles, a comfortable relationship with the audience, and an elegant sense of musicality and communication.
