Don’t buy the cheap wire folding ones. They just don’t work very well. For a little more money you can get a sturdy, solid metal stand. It will do the job well and last forever.

Metronome

The two features I look for are a dial selector and a good sound. Stay away from the digital ones with myriad buttons and annoying beeps. This one is good and inexpensive.

Tuner

Tuning is difficult, and cheap tuners don’t make it any easier. This one is inexpensive and has good reviews.
